Hong Kong, 23 rd December, 2021 - The Bank of East Asia, Limited ("BEA" or "the Bank") announces the launch of its virtual credit card ("Virtual Card"), providing customers with a convenient and seamless payment solution. Requiring only a valid Hong Kong Permanent Identity Card as part of the verification process, application and approval are quick and easy.
Once approved, customers can immediately add their Virtual Cards to their digital wallets and make online or in-store purchases straight away. Being stored digitally also eliminates the hassle of carrying around a physical wallet and offers a more private way for individuals to spend. Furthermore, customers will be able to view their card details online anytime, anywhere, as well as the real-time status of their transaction records via the BEA Mall reward app.
Additionally, those who apply for the Virtual Card at designated shopping malls or merchants can receive instant, on-the-spot offers. As with its physical counterpart, holders of our Virtual Card will have access to over 150 dining and merchant offers, and priority booking for popular concerts.
